I was recently asked by the lovely Jo from The Dandelion Bakery, in Watford, Herts to photograph and film a series of wedding cakes.  Jo is offering a DIY wedding cake for her couples who want a unique cake, but may have a tight budget.  Jo sells the plain white, quality cake, with a choice of flavours and you can Decorate it Yourself.  Here you will see a behind the scenes film of Jo decorating the cakes, giving you plenty of ideas to create your own unique wedding cake, as well as some photos of the cakes, showing more detail.

This shoot was so much fun, even with the gingerbread hearts falling several times like dominos when I tried to film it.  Each cake will reflect the time of year, as did the weather whilst we filmed this, I had to film from the garden, we had sun bathing weather, torrential rain, gale force winds and snow throughout, it even reflected the current month we were shooting, so we had April showers for the April cake, Sun in July and Snow in January.  I am beginning to think Jo has special powers, either way, her cakes are amazing, you won’t be disappointed.
